Barclays Cycle Hire

At-a-Glance

This 5-month research project aimed to re-design Barclays Bike Hiring scheme website and develop a mobile app. Working with product developers and engineers, I used qualitative generative insights to concept test a new design that increased usability and functionality with live bike availability tracking in a searchable map. Later usability testing and the results of a quantitative survey refined the prototypes. Final recommendations of designs and key features were submitted with hi-fi prototypes. The Transport for London (TfL) transferred sponsorship to Santander as Satander Bikes where most of these features and overall design were incorporated.
