Stanford University Metamedia Lab

At-a-Glance

With an academic advisor and fellow PhD student, I helped found Metamedia, a lab physically located at the Stanford Archaeology Center focused on studying the effects of new media on the social sciences, innovating new techniques with emerging media for generating and presenting research across the humanities and social sciences, and building a interdisciplinary collaboratory of scholars across the world and partnering with industry experts in the Bay Area. The lab worked with other leaders in innovating media at Stanford, including the Stanford Humanities Lab, mediaX and the d.school. It has continued under the leadership of Prof. Michael Shanks.
